A scalable SaaS platform for managing business events, conferences, and networking sessions. Organizers can create and manage events, handle registrations, and streamline attendee engagement through a modern and performance-focused web application.
The Brief
Business Events is a SaaS platform for organisers of conferences, business events and networking sessions. Organisers needed one place to create and manage their events, publish an event website and showcase speakers – without relying on a developer for every change.
What I Built
- An organiser dashboard ('My Events') with search, filters and one-click event creation
- Event cards with dates and licence type, plus an 'Edit Website' flow to manage each event's public site
- Public event pages with dedicated speaker profiles
- Registration and attendee engagement flows designed around the organiser's workflow
Technical Approach
Built with Next.js and Tailwind CSS on the frontend, with Node.js, Prisma and MySQL on the backend. Prisma gives a type-safe data layer for events, speakers and registrations, and the relational MySQL schema keeps the data consistent as the number of events and attendees grows.
